Trail Conditions

1/30/2019: Trails were groomed yesterday and will be groomed again after this fresh snow. Should be a great weekend for riding!

1/18/19 All Barnard trails have been groomed and are in good shape. We are grooming the Barnard loop again tonight. Hope people get a chance to enjoy them before the big storm! Have a great weekend and be safe.

TRAIL CLOSURE: Effective December 2018,VAST corridor 56 from WR30 to WR28 is CLOSED. This is known as the Suicide Six trail from Pomfret to Barnard which was an integral part of our trail system. Riders coming in from south of Barnard are encouraged to use VAST corridor 12. Barnard remains a popular destination with ethanol free gas at the Barnard General Store as well as breakfast and hot lunch until 3pm. Max's Tavern at the Barnard Inn encourages riders to come in for dinner and they are right on the trail.

There is a logging operation on 12 on Smith Hill.  Use caution on plowed road.  Logs trucks have right of way and please be courteous.

There is limited parking at the Barnard Town Hall.

We have installed the groomer beacon that works with Collette radios.

Barnard Store is open with gas and food available.  Gas and food is also available in Bridgewater and Royalton.
