Barnard Mountain Viewers Snowmobile Club is located in Barnard Vermont. We maintain over 40 miles of trails circling Barnard and extending into the wilderness of the Chateauguay. We are committed to well maintained trails and safe riding. Please come join us and enjoy Silver Lake and views of Killington.

We encourage all riders to become involved in your local club.   We are always looking for volunteers for pre-season trail work and for help with our fundraising events.  Please call Stan Butler at 802-234-9223 if you have some time to donate or if you have any questions pertaining to the upcoming season.

Be sure to visit www.vtvast.org for all the information you need to stay informed during the upcoming season, including trail reports throughout the state.

VAST trails open (see Trail Conditions) December 16.

Safety Class Reminder:

Anyone born after July 1, 1983, and who is 12 years of age and older, must complete and pass a six-hour safety course before operating a snowmobile on the VAST trail system. A Vermont Snowmobile Safety Course Certificate or equivalent MUST be carried when riding. If you have a question about snowmobile safety education, please contact the Vermont State Police Recreational Enforcement & Education Unit at 802-878-7111, ext.2211. We will post news of any local safety classes as they become available.

It can’t be said enough that without the generous support of our local landowners and their permission to ride over their land, we would not have a sport. Please respect the rights of property owners, and be aware of others who share the thrill of the trails with us. Any issues regarding trails can be directed to Stan Butler. Happy, safe and snowy holidays from the Mountainviewers!  Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you out enjoying the Barnard trails.
